The Pocono Mountains and the inn grounds come alive in the fall. Our gardens are still gorgeous. Clean, crisp air blends with beautiful blue skies. Foliage energizes the entire Delaware Highlands in a vibrant display.
This autumn will be particularly lush as the downpours from Irene and Lee have swollen rivers, streams and, especially - waterfalls - to rushing, gushing, plunging beauty.
So many fun events and activities happen in and around Hawley during September and October. Of particular note is our fabulous Oktoberfest Beer Dinner on Friday October 14. Read on for the details. We look forward to welcoming you and the brilliant new season here at The Settlers Inn.

We are delighted to welcome back Sommelier Claude Briere - who is traveling all the way from Amsterdam! - to preside over this "do from down under." No longer a country of cute little "critter" wines, Australia has a few heavy hitters that pair so well with our regional farm-to-table philosophy. Claude will be offering some amazing Australian wines from our cellar.
Call 570-226-2993 now to book. Claude's presence will make this a quick sell-out!

Reservations will officially begin TODAY - Tuesday, September 13 - for our annual Victorian Christmas celebration. Don't miss out on our most popular event of the year on Friday, December 2 or Saturday, December 3. Our Arts and Crafts Lodge really lends itself to all the finery and nostalgia of an old fashioned Christmas. We take great care in the hanging of the greens, baking the gingerbread house, and cooking for a week to prepare!
Nothing rings in the holidays like choirs, candlelight and the warmth of the fireplace. Stay at the inn, and hope for snow!

October 14 | $65 per person
Celebrate Chef Ben's flavors of the changing season - perfectly paired with beers from the award winning Stoudt's Brewery in Adamstown, PA. Illustrious brewer and "beer sweetheart," Jodi Stoudt, will guest star at this dinner, which will feature food and brews with a Pennsylvania German twist. We'll sample Stoudt's Oktoberfest beer along with the Gold Lager, German Pilsner and Pale Ale.

We're pulling together the details now, but we know this spooky-time annual event will be as awesome as ever. Skillfully crafted and carved pumpkins, toe-tapping music, artful narratives full of wit. . .not to mention autumn's luscious bounty from our kitchens. More detail will be forthcoming, but mark your calendars now!

The Settlers Inn ducked the worst of Irene and benefited from the best. Rain swelled the local waterfalls to their maximum - and the deluge is delightful. Stay two nights midweek (Sun – Thurs) and get the second night free. Or, stay longer for half off the entire stay.
Plan to take our waterfall tour and see the cascading abundance for yourself.
*September 12 through the 29. New reservations only.
