September Newsletter 2010
As long summer days become crisp autumn afternoons, we surrender the lush green season to Fall's vibrant color. Wine lovers as well as leaf peepers relish the change, for as the leaves turn, so does our palate, and our craving for red wine reemerges.

Celebrate the changing season with a hike along a scenic Pocono Mountains trail capped off with a relaxing glass of red wine and fanciful feast of Autumn's bounty at The Settlers Inn. Join us on Friday afternoons at 5 pm and partake in our popular "Wine Chat with the Wine Chick" sessions – extended through the rest of 2010. Our sommelier and wine professional, Leslie Chappell-Britt, leads participants through the intriguing and not so mysterious world of wine with tastings, workshops and discussions.

Come visit The Settlers Inn this Fall to both see and sip the dramatic reds of Autumn.

Holidays on the HorizonHolidays on the Horizon
We've begun accepting reservations for our Annual Victorian Christmas Dinners (to be held on December 3 and 4 this year). You can call to book your spot at 570-226-2993. This extremely popular event sells out quickly, so don't wait until the last minute. You don't want to miss The Settlers Inn adorned in full Victorian splendor – mammoth trees decorated in art glass ornaments, clusters of hand-crafted Santas, and a three-foot gingerbread replica of the Inn that takes one person 30 hours to create.

If all this talk of Santa and celebration has you in the Christmas spirit be sure to stop by The Potting Shed these next few months to shop for the holiday season. Check out our spectacular new autumn-themed collections for home and garden.
