Summer is here and the time is right for dining on our deck… where The Inn’s new awning will make your gathering cool and comfortable no matter the weather!
Live jazz returns to our deck every Wednesday evening, from 6 to 9 PM, throughout summer during our Food, Fun and All That Jazz series. The full schedule will be available soon on our website. The series kicks off on July 8 with a performance by Indigo Moon, followed by an evening with the Robert Kopec Quartet on July 16.
If you love music—or are a fan of cultural phenomena—another cool thing to do this summer is visit the newly opened Woodstock Museum at nearby Bethel Woods for an immersive and captivating multi-media experience that uses film and interactive displays, text panels and artifacts to explore the unique experience of the 1969 Woodstock Festival.
Settlers Inn proprietors Grant and Jeanne Genzlinger were flower children during the 1960s—and attended the original Woodstock Festival.
Join Grant and Jeanne at The Settlers this summer to celebrate the spirit of Woodstock through our live music series and delightful dishes prepared with only the finest and freshest local ingredients!

Grant and Jeanne are all grown up now, and have turned their idealism into action. Recently, the pair received the Green Award from the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau. The honor recognizes environmental stewardship efforts practiced through The Inn’s operations, programs and services that have been conserving energy, water and waste for more than a decade. The Settlers Inn is also a member of the Green Hotels Association. "We are still stardust and golden and have never left the garden!” says Jeanne. |

Speaking of gardens, there is no better time for a stroll through The Inn’s beautifully manicured country gardens to see what dazzling flowers, herbs and shrubbery are coming up this season. While you’re here, stop by The Potting Shed where you’ll find fun and functional items inspired by nature to enhance your home, garden and yourself.

Join us for lunch, brunch or dinner and treat yourself to one of the many fine selections from our summer menu. Who could resist The Inn’s fresh mango and pork quesadillas with scallions and fresh mozzarella from Tonjes Farm? Or, how about our grilled lamb sliders on rosemary angel biscuits with mint barbeque sauce and polenta fries?

If opera is your thing, join us on the deck for an operatic and musical theatre performance by Delaware Valley Opera (DVO) performers Carol Diefenbach, mezzo soprano, and Jim Blanton, pianist and singer, on Sunday, June 29, at 1 PM. Dine and imbibe to tunes from "The Wizard of Oz," "Finian's Rainbow" and other Broadway favorites, plus familiar melodies by Mozart and more.
The DVO will perform full productions at Hawley’s Ritz Theatre on July 26 and August 15, and at the Tusten Theatre, in Narrowsburg, NY, July 25 through August 17.

Hawley is the place to be every first Friday of the month from now through December. The Downtown Hawley Partnership’s First Friday series continues with a festive Friday, July 4 schedule that happens rain or shine.
Visit the quaint Victorian village to experience the streets filled with art, music and performers, and the merchants offering great sales on quality merchandise. Watch Hawley’s Fourth of July parade at noon, then join us at The Settlers Inn for a sizzling summer barbeque and the soothing sounds of The Frank Williams Trio, from 4 to 7 PM.
Finish off the evening with the spectacular Independence Day Fireworks display over Lake Wallenpaupack!
And don’t forget… Settlers’ sommelier Claude Briere is planning an excellent season of sensational wine dinners! Check out our Events page for the full schedule, and join Claude for his Chile vs Argentina dinner on Friday, June 27.
