As the New Year opens with the stark beauty of winter’s landscape and the hope of spring percolating just below its surface, The Settlers Inn invites you to break through your old habits and enjoy a relaxing getaway with us.
It’s the perfect time to explore the outdoor wonders and cultural offerings of our picturesque surrounds. You can experience a calming yoga class just down the road at the Himalayan Institute’s Main Street Café, sample a centering Pilates class at Hawley’s Mountain Laurel Pilates Studio, or get your heart rate up while snowshoeing, hiking or cross-country skiing on miles of near-by trails at scenic Promised Land State Park. If you’re feeling a little more freewheeling, try a ballroom or belly dancing class at the Hawley Cultural and Creative Arts Center.
Then spend a quiet evening at The Settlers Inn with all the creature comforts you can dream of, and a cozy fireplace just waiting for you to curl up beside it to sip some herbal tea or indulge in a glass of something more spirited from our fine wine selection.
This year, allow yourself to become the you that you have always wanted to be. Book your stay with us today online or by by calling 1-800-833-8527. Then, get ready to relax!
To make you feel even better in 2008, The Settlers Inn is participating in Pennsylvania’s Cabin Fever Month in January. So, when you book an overnight stay you get the second night free! Yes, we’re not kidding. FREE! As in free of the winter blues! Reserve your room this month by calling 1-800-833-8527.
While some of our guests arrive ready to hit the double diamond slopes at Ski Big Bear or any of our area’s ski resorts, others will want to add a Learn to Turn package to their stay. Learn to Turn includes a voucher booklet for three consecutive midweek day visits to the ski areas of your choice. Each visit includes a lift ticket, rentals and a group lesson. Learners can go to one ski area for all three days, or experience a different ski area each day. Ask about our Learn to Turn package when making your reservation. Cost is $165 per person.
Executive Chef and Inn Proprietor Grant Genzlinger has planned a winter menu that will appeal to everyone. Grant’s “Food Two Ways” will satisfy your hunger with good old fashioned comfort dishes like slow braised beef short ribs in a port reduction or tickle the lighter side of your palate with appetizers like wine poached shrimp with Pinot Grigio gelée and pineapple salsa and main courses like vegetarian polenta cake layered with Caulkins Creamery Smoke Signal cheese.
Join us for dinner any night, or for lunch on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. And don’t forget the most important meal of the day… breakfast. The Settlers Inn is open for breakfast every day. Start your day off right!
