November Newsletter 2007
As the New Year opens with the stark beauty of winter’s landscape and the hope of spring percolating just below its surface, The Settlers Inn invites you to break through your old habits and enjoy a relaxing getaway with us.

It’s the perfect time to explore the outdoor wonders and cultural offerings of our picturesque surrounds. You can experience a calming yoga class just down the road at the Himalayan Institute’s Main Street Café, sample a centering Pilates class at Hawley’s Mountain Laurel Pilates Studio, or get your heart rate up while snowshoeing, hiking or cross-country skiing on miles of near-by trails at scenic Promised Land State Park. If you’re feeling a little more freewheeling, try a ballroom or belly dancing class at the Hawley Cultural and Creative Arts Center.

Then spend a quiet evening at The Settlers Inn with all the creature comforts you can dream of, and a cozy fireplace just waiting for you to curl up beside it to sip some herbal tea or indulge in a glass of something more spirited from our fine wine selection.

This year, allow yourself to become the you that you have always wanted to be. Book your stay with us today online or by by calling 1-800-833-8527. Then, get ready to relax!

Winter Blues Be Gone
To make you feel even better in 2008, The Settlers Inn is participating in Pennsylvania’s Cabin Fever Month in January. So, when you book an overnight stay you get the second night free! Yes, we’re not kidding. FREE! As in free of the winter blues! Reserve your room this month by calling 1-800-833-8527.

It's All Downhill From Here
Be sure to experience The Settlers Inn while it is adorned in full Victorian splendor during our annual Victorian Christmas celebration from November 30 to December 2. It’s a holiday destination you won’t want to pass by!

Saturday dinner seatings are SOLD OUT, but reserve early, by calling 800-833-8527, to be a part of Friday’s or Sunday’s events.

The Inn will be exquisitely adorned with hundreds of yards of live princess pine, wreaths and greens, and several mammoth trees. Other amenities include a collection of art glass ornaments in the upstairs bay window, clusters of hand-crafted Santas, decorated doll houses and a three-foot gingerbread replica of the Inn that takes one person 30 hours to create. And in true Settlers Inn style the holiday fantasy doesn’t end at twinkling lights and mulled wine. The Inn’s entire staff dresses in period clothes, including a doorman who welcomes guests and escorts them to an awaiting horse and carriage for a step back in time.

Have it Both Ways
As you make your list and check it twice this holiday season, be sure to stop by The Potting Shed, behind The Settlers Inn, for our new line of National Geographic home and garden gifts. A certificate to The Potting Shed is a terrific treat for a special family member or co-worker… or a creative stocking stuffer for your favorite sweetie!

Items that will also rival mistletoe for the fondness they inspire are: overnight stays or dining gift certificates for The Settlers Inn.
