Seasons Changing at The Settler’s Inn
March is such a wonderful month- the whispers of spring can be heard and already the buds are starting to peak out of the thawed ground (was it ever frozen?). As the warm weather slowly begins to blow our way, we look forward to seeing the many tulips bloom in our English Garden. Until then, we have lots of fun planned for the month to keep busy!
We’ve planned a couple of evenings this March in celebration of Celtic Heritage. We will host our first beer dinner of 2012 on Friday, March 9th. This dinner will feature delicious, ales paired with traditional Celtic dishes. If you enjoy good beer, this evening should not be missed!
The following Friday, March 16th, come down to Cocoon Coffee House for The Eve of St. Patrick’s traditional Irish dinner followed by traditional Irish music at Harmony Presents, Hawley’s newest performance space. If you haven’t had a chance to experience a performance at Harmony, this is a great opportunity to check it out! Reservations for this festive evening can be made online at Harmony’s website – please reserve by made by March 12th.
As we bid farewell to the winter that never was, come celebrate the Vernal Equinox and ring in Spring on March 23rd with our annual Vernal Equinox Dinner. Guests will enjoy an evening with a 5-course dinner that highlights the flavors of the season. As always, our menu will feature items from local growers and there will be some fabulous wines to taste.
As we awaken from winter’s slumber, be sure to get out and enjoy all there is to do in the country in early spring. Come celebrate the new season with us and take advantage of the warm weather!
